#NDU Student-Robbers Attack Students in NDU last week

21:24
Wednessday Morning  being 20th of May,  witnessed another high level of insecurity in campus as robbers attack students preparing for their First semester examination in Niger Delta University. (NDU).

I was at a nearby lecture room (EN 7) reading my books when the lights suddenly went off, it took about 15-20 minutes before power was restored which is not normal.

In no less than a minute, I heard a gunshot at ENLH2. Students started screaming, shouting, jumping through windows, running and even flying from one floor to another (lols), which results to a male student breaking his leg after jumping down from the second floor.

I ran also forgetting my laptop at the classroom (Wink) but I thank God nothing happened to me and my laptop.

Few minutes later the school security arrived at the scene. I heard a 100 Level Biological Science student explained

‘‘Two guys walked into the hall hanging school bags, they were moving from one corner to another. After a short period of time the other part of the gang came in from the backdoor. We started shouting then they put off the light and shot gun at the air. They commanded everybody to lie down and collected all our phones and laptops, even threatened to rape me if I don’t give them my phone."
This is an excerpt from one of the victim interviewed by amenbonaija.com
According to others in the same block, two lecture rooms (EN1 & EN3) were also robbed before attacking the big hall ENLH2.

This Problem of insecurity is becoming too much in our School campuses especially Niger Delta University, NDU.

Is this the kind of environment we are expected to Learn?? Asked Amenbonaija.com
