Rainbow Throne Film Production ltd is set to host the first season of the “Face Of New Bayelsa Beauty Pageant. Speaking to press men at a pre-event media chat held in yenagoa on Saturday the organizer, Collins frank-oputu said his entertainment outfit hopes to discover and harness the potential of the Bayelsa culture and the movie industry via the contest.
He said, “The event is organised to discover tourism potential for Bayelsa state and Nollywood, create role models, enrich the beauty of the Nigerian woman and enhance new strength. It is our desire at the Rainbow throne film production ltd that the beauty pageant will promote Bayelsa’s cultural heritage, tackle unemployment and encourage corporate partnership in cultural awareness.
“The programme also seeks to enhance the rich cultural diversity of Bayelsa state and Nigeria at large, through pageantry, arts, social services, entertainment and also to promote cultural awareness while showcasing the talents and achievements of Nigerian youths.”
The pageant, open to female between the ages of 18-28 will hold in Bayelsa on march 21 at the cultural centre yenagoa Bayelsa state. The frank-oputu say the winner of the pageant will win N400,000 plus Represent Bayelsa nationally, 1st runner up N200,000 plus a one year modeling contract, 2nd runner up a one year movie contract with a reputable movie producer. Plus other consolation prizes.
